Hotel La Vigneraie Levens
Hotel La Vigneraie de Levens, is a charming family-owned hotel located in Levens, France, north of Nice. They needed to enhance their online presence and provide an exceptional user experience for their guests. As a UX designer and front-end developer, my tasks were to design and create a visually clean and user-friendly website to showcase the hotel’s offerings and facilitate reservations.
Objectives:
The primary objectives were to design and develop a fully bilingual website, to cater to both English and French speakers, using WordPress as their CMS. We worked on a the aesthetics along with an intuitive site navigation, with the main goal of optimizing the conversion rate for room reservations.
Solutions:
After conducting competitive research, I identified the best practices in terms of visuals and functionality for hotel websites. Low-fidelity wireframes were created based on the results, outlining the website’s structure and flow, serving as a blueprint for the project, facilitating collaboration and aligning expectations.
Next, I developed high-definition mockups that visually conveyed the website’s aesthetic and functionality. These mockups incorporated a detailed page for each room category, featuring captivating imagery and comprehensive descriptions. Additionally, I implemented reservation forms on each room page, streamlining the booking process for potential guests.
To further enhance the user experience, I designed a dedicated page for the hotel’s restaurant, highlighting its menu options. Additionally, I integrated a page to showcase the various services offered by the hotel, providing visitors with a comprehensive overview of the amenities available.
The front-end development played a crucial role in bringing the design to life. Leveraging the power of WordPress, I customized the website’s theme, ensuring a responsive layout that worked seamlessly across different devices. I meticulously optimized the website’s performance, loading speed, and search engine visibility to maximize its reach and impact.
Results:
The Hotel’s new website achieved remarkable results. The user-friendly interface and intuitive navigation resulted in an improved user experience. The bilingual feature provided an inclusive experience for both English and French speakers, broadening the hotel’s reach to a wider audience.
The reservation forms on each room page simplified the booking process, leading to an increase in conversions and direct bookings. The visually appealing design, accompanied by vivid imagery and compelling descriptions, effectively showcased the hotel’s unique offerings, enticing visitors to explore and make reservations.
